Carlos is the author of the international best-selling book Tournament Tough – A Guide to Junior Championship Tennis. Carlos founded & directed Tournament Tough Training Camps which were attended by some of the world’s top junior players for over 30 years.

  • Coached John McEnroe as both a junior and professional player over various portions of his career.
  • Director of the Port Washington Junior Tennis Academy in New York, where he was hired by legendary coach, Harry Hopman.
  • Coached Patrick McEnroe from outside the top 500 to #31 in the world and the semifinal of the Australian Open in 1991.
  • Publisher & Editor in Chief of Junior Tennis magazine - the world's first publication dedicated to junior tennis.
  • Ran NIKE Tournament Tough Parent-Player Workshops - a nationwide program exclusively for junior tennis players, parents & coaches.

Josh is currently the Head Men’s Tennis Coach at the University of South Carolina and is considered to be one of the top coaches in the nation.

  • 3x ITA Regional Coach of the Year.
  • 3x ITA National Coach of the Year Nominee.
  • 2013 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Coach of the Year.
  • Guided South Carolina to a program high ranking of No. 6 in the nation in 2022.
  • Coached 2019 NCAA Singles Champion, Paul Jubb to the main draw of Wimbledon in 2019 and 2022
  • Guided sophomore Daniel Rodrigues to the NCAA Singles Final in 2021.
  • Coached back-to-back NCAA singles finalists in 2019 & 2021.
  • Coached multiple players to the No. 1 ITA collegiate ranking.
  • Ranked No. 121 ATP in doubles & No. 488 ATP in singles.
  • Professional wins over Stan Wawrinka and Thomas Berdych.
